Here are some tips on how to learn English quickly :

Find out what your learning style is. Are you an eye learner (or visual)? Then you learn best by seeing words written down, taking notes and making mind maps. Are you an ear learner (or auditory)? Then repeating new words aloud, talking things through with a teacher or other student and telling stories will help you learn. Are you a body learner (or kinesthetic)? Then you can do role plays, move around while learning things and can learn by writing and rewriting edited drafts. You may also use a mixture of these styles. Think about how you can integrate newly learnt skills together. For example, you may have been watching TV and written down a couple of new words or a phrase that you heard. Think of yourself as a scientist, testing and retesting!

Here’s what the best students do to study for the GRE

Whenever you do practice GRE problems, you should spend significantly more time reviewing each problem than you spent doing it. Many students have asked me this very reasonable question, though: “What am I supposed to actually do when I review?” Here’s the answer. This review process will help you squeeze more out of every problem you do. 

Revisit your solution.

Once you’ve finished a timed problem set, don’t check your answers immediately. Instead, revisit each problem and your own solution. Are you satisfied with your answer, and with how quickly you arrived there? If not, redo the problem, spending as much time as you need. Try solving it in different ways, until you find one that feels right.

If you still just can’t figure it out, then before you do anything else, decide what you’d need to know in order to come up with a solution. Is there a vocabulary word you can’t define? A geometry rule you can’t remember? In that case, feel free to look up the facts you need and keep trying. Are you struggling to translate the words into equations, or to identify the conclusion of the argument? Make a note of any skills you need to improve.

If you do understand the problem after a second attempt, ask yourself two questions:

1. Why did you get it wrong the first time?
2. How would you approach the problem if you saw it again? Generalize from your failure on this problem, to success on different problems you’ll see in the future.

Next, work from the right answer.  

Now it’s time to look at the official answer. Don’t read the explanation, though — just peek at the answer itself. If it fits what you’ve come up with, you can move on to the next step. If it doesn’t match, or if you didn’t come up with a satisfying solution on your own, you’ve got more work to do.

Redo the problem again, looking for a solution path that would lead you to the correct answer. If you find yourself saying “Oh, that makes sense,” you’ve taught yourself how to do that problem correctly next time! If you’re still flummoxed, read on…

Finish up with a complete solution.

This is the step where you check the official explanation for the first time. If you found a solution on your own, you’re looking for different perspectives on the problem, or clever ways to save time while solving it. If you didn’t, then read just enough of the explanation to give yourself a hint. Reading the whole explanation is a last resort — if you have to do this, the problem is probably too tough to bother with right now!

If the explanation doesn’t help you, Google the first few words of the problem. Many problems have been thoroughly discussed by instructors and students online.   

Finally, record what you’ve learned.

Take notes about GRE problems as you review them. These notes can be as simple or as elaborate as you like, but here’s what really matters:

1. Are you going to do the problem again later?
2. What can you take from this problem that would help you on other problems?

When you’re answering that second question, be as general as you can. Great takeaways are ones that tell you how to react to a specific clue in the problem: “When I see this, I’ll do this.” Suppose that you missed a two-blank Text Completion problem because you didn’t notice that the phrase “instead of” reversed the meaning of part of the sentence. Don’t just write down “look for ‘instead of'” in your notes. Instead, record a general lesson like this: “When I see a two-blank Text Completion problem, look for words and phrases that tell me whether the blanks are similar, or opposites.” You might even go on from there to brainstorm a list of those critical words and phrases.

All test preparation courses consist of two sections, the first of which provides the foundation necessary for success in the second advanced section. For best results on the actual exams, it is recommended that students take both sections and both the Verbal and Math sections of the SAT, GRE and GMAT tests.

TOEFL Prep Course

TOEFL I

This is the first of two TOEFL preparation courses developed to prepare students for the TOEFL iBT©. This course is designed for students with no prior experience on the TOEFL iBT and/or with fewer advanced levels of English. It focuses on all four language skills tested on the TOEFL iBT: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. It aims to familiarize students with the exam, introduce basic strategies for tackling questions, and improve test-taking skills. The course also builds the language skills necessary for success on the TOEFL iBT and ultimately in academic settings.

TOEFL II
This is the second of two TOEFL courses developed to prepare students for the TOEFL iBT©. This course is designed for students with some prior familiarity with the TOEFL iBT and/or with more advanced levels of English. It provides extensive practice of all four language skills tested on the TOEFL iBT: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. It emphasizes effective strategies for obtaining a high score on the exam and aims to improve student test-taking skills. IELTS Prep Course

IELTS I

It focuses on vocabulary, grammar, writing and reading. It aims to familiarize the students with the exam and provide a strong verbal foundation for success in SAT Verbal 2.

SAT Verbal 2
The last of two courses developed to prepare students for the verbal portion of the SAT exam, this course is designed for students who passed SAT Verbal 1 or scored 500 or higher on the actual exam. It focuses on the specific verbal areas tested on the exam: critical reading, writing, grammar, and writing. Offering extensive practice with authentic SAT questions and guided professional instruction, the course aims to equip students with the skills and strategies necessary for desired results on the test.

SAT Math 1
This is the first of two courses developed to prepare students for the math portion of the SAT exam. It is designed for students with no prior experience and/or low test scores on the SAT. It focuses on familiarizing students with the exam and providing the necessary math foundations for success in SAT Math 2.

SAT Math 2
The last of two courses developed to prepare students for the math portion of the SAT exam, this course is designed for students who passed SAT Math 1 or scored 500 or higher on the actual exam. It focuses on the specific math areas tested on the exam: arithmetic operations, algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability. Offering extensive practice with authentic SAT questions and guided professional instruction, the course aims to equip students with the skills and strategies necessary for desired results on the test.

GRE Prep Course

GRE Verbal I
This is the first of two GRE prep courses developed to prepare the student to be successful on the Verbal Section of the GRE exam. The GRE course encapsulates the principles that are required in order to learn the skills necessary for success. The course covers the principles of Reading Comprehension, Essay Writing involving an Analysis of an Issue and an Analysis on an Argument topic, and sentence grammar with word recognition.

GRE Verbal II
This is the second of two GRE courses developed to prepare the student for success on the Verbal Section of the GRE exam. The course includes extensive use of the principles taught in GRE Verbal I. The course gives ample practice to help master the time conditions required to do the various parts of the writing portion of the test. The Reading Comprehension part of the course will entail all the strategies learned in GRE Verbal I in solving Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence type questions. The student will also do several GRE Verbal practice tests to gauge progress and improve scores on the actual test.

GRE Math 1
This is the first of two GRE prep courses that was developed to prepare the student to be successful on the Math Section of the GRE exam. The course encompasses the principles, properties, theorems and postulates of Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra, and Numerical Systems. The student will use this information to solve problems and become prepared to enter GRE II.

GMAT Verbal 1

USMLE Prep Course

The United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Self-Guided Study Program is designed to equip domestic and international medical students and graduates seeking to practice medicine in the United States with the support and resources necessary to independently and effectively prepare for the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination). A wealth of reference and self-study texts are available to our students, as well as online question banks, flash cards, instructional DVDs, and more. Furthermore, USMLE test prep students are supported with dedicated space for group study meetings, volunteer placement assistance in local hospitals, access to AEI Computer and Language Lab; Student Study/Lab; audio/video equipment; counseling services; and more.

Students in the U.S. on an F1 Visa must make normal progress in their studies and are required to meet on-campus attendance requirements.

From English Grammar

There are two tasks in the TOEFL Writing section. The first writing task is an integrated task: you will have to listen to a lecture and read a passage. You must then write a summary of both passages.

The second writing task is an independent essay. You have to write an essay of at least 300 words on a given topic. You will have to write on the topic you are given. No choice is available. TOEFL iBT is a computerized test. You have to type both essays on a computer. If you do not know typewriting well, you must practice on a keyboard before your test.

You can cut, copy and paste as you type your essays, but remember that the computer will not check your spelling or grammar. That means you have to do your homework. Learn the spellings of all words you tend to misspell.

General writing strategies

The TOEFL writing section has two tasks. It takes about 50 minutes. Here are a few tips for success on the Writing section.

Organize your thoughts first

Do not start writing as soon the section begins. Instead, use one or two minutes for organizing your ideas. This is very important, because few people are capable of organizing their thoughts in their mind as they write. As a result they will have to edit more.

By organizing your ideas in the beginning itself, you will get an outline for your essay. Once you have got the outline ready, you only need to develop the ideas into paragraphs. However, do not spend more than 2 or 3 minutes on an outline. Remember that you will not get any marks for the outline

Use familiar vocabulary

Some students try to impress the examiner with complex vocabulary. You must not try this stunt if you are not familiar with these words. Of course, you have to use academic words in your essay. However, they needn’t necessarily be obscure.
